Bezpieczeństwo. Teoria i Praktyka / Security: Theory and Practice, a journal of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, has been published since 2007 (the first issue as Problemy Bezpieczeństwa/ Security Issues) and is addressed to a wide range of recipients interested in the issues of security management at the national, local (including city security) and business levels.
Topics addressed in the journal include: public security management, crisis management, ecological and energy security management, as well as security problems in the objective and subjective dimension, international security, information security and practical activities in this area, also in relation to the activities of non-profit organizations and current legislative activities.

In 2019–2020 the scientific journal “Bezpieczeństwo. Teoria i Praktyka” [Security: Theory and Practice] received funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education „Wsparcie dla czasopism naukowych” [Support for Scientific Journals] program (agreement no. 129/WCN/2019/1 of 19/07/2019; value of funding granted by the Ministry: PLN 98,935.00; total project value: PLN 112,935.00). The funding granted by the Ministry was allocated to: costs related to the purchase of digital identifiers for electronic documents (Digital Object Identifiers, DOI); training of editors; introducing changes to the journal’s existing website; verification and proofreading of scientific articles in the journal, including proofreading of translations of articles and their abstracts into foreign languages; remuneration along with non-wage labor costs; purchase of equipment used for the implementation of the project; costs related to improving the substantive level of the review; costs related to the dissemination of information about the journal; indirect costs related to the functioning of the entrepreneur incurred in connection with the implementation of the project.
