A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Science, Metallurgy and Transport (degree course: transport) and the Railway Technical School in Sosnowiec (specializing in railway traffic control automation), and holds a postdoctoral degree in economics (specializing in management science).
President of the Management and Technology Consulting Company OTTIMA plus Sp. z o.o. (Katowice), and Vice President of the Management Board of the Southern Railway Cluster, based in Katowice.
Author of studies and business analyses in the field of business model concepts, value management, value domain creation, and project management, with particular emphasis on railway safety management. Author and co-author of several monographs and over 100 scientific articles in the field of management and railway safety management.
He has over 20 years of experience in the design and implementation of management optimization systems and is a leading auditor of management systems. He has been a long-time advisor to Polish and international companies on modern management methods and techniques. A specialist in the railway industry in the field of railway traffic safety management and railway infrastructure maintenance. Author of numerous expert opinions and business analyses in the areas of value management, risk management, the Balanced Scorecard, and responsible business. A long-time member of the ERCI Innovation Award jury in rail transport.

• optimization of cost and management structures of enterprises,
• maintenance management in rail transport,
• safety management in rail transport,

• designing digital business models based on the assumptions of socio-technical systems,
• monitoring processes for the application of artificial intelligence in the field of climate change and technological progress and its impact on management processes.
In recent years, he has been working on the concept of Evidence-Based Management.
His research interests also focus on shaping and designing digital business models for climate change and climate services based on the assumptions of socio-technical systems. He is also developing the concept of predictive maintenance of complex technical systems.
