Authors of the articles published in Bezpieczeństwo. Teoria i Praktyka/Security: Theory and Practice retain copyright to their works without restriction. Based on a signed declaration submitted with the article, the Authors agrees to granting the Publisher free and unlimited access to the work under the terms of the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International license (Attribution – Non Commercial – No Derivatives) in order to place the work in the Publisher’s repository, on the journal’s website and make it available in the Internet in other databases of scientific articles in Open Access.
The Journal is published in Open Access – all content is available free of charge to individual readers and institutions.
From the 2025 issue onward, articles are published under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International (Attribution – Non-Commercial – No Derivative Works) license.
From 2020 to 2024, the CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 PL license was in effect.
Issues from 2014 onward are available in their entirety on the journal’s website.
For issues from 2007 (the first issue was titled “Security Problems”) to 2013, which were distributed only in print, tables of contents are available on the website.
Printed issues may be used under fair use in accordance with Articles 23–35 of the Polish Act of 4 February 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights, in particular Article 29: “It is permissible to quote, in works constituting a self-contained whole, fragments of published works, as well as published works of art, photographs, or small works in their entirety, to the extent justified by the purposes of the quotation, such as explanation, polemic, critical or scientific analysis, teaching, or the rights of the creative genre.”
